Cianjur, Wednesday (17/03/2021) – The SAR Team Battalion B Pioneer of the Mobile Brigade Unit of the West Java Regional Police held SAR patrols in a number of landslide-prone areas in the Cianjur Regency area. This patrol activity was led by Dantim SAR Briptu M. Reza Priyandana. disaster alert.
Briptu M. Reza Priyandana said “the monitoring that was carried out included cliffs in Batulawang Village, Cipanas District, where the village had shifted land which resulted in the cutting off of the road between the two villages,” he said.
Furthermore, “We carried out this patrol to anticipate and recheck the situation and conditions in Batulawang Village, due to the heavy rain that flushed Cianjur Regency. Therefore, anticipating unwanted things we carried out another check at the location”, said Briptu M. Reza. Priyandana.
When confirmed in a separate place, the West Java Police Mobile Brigade Unit Commander Kombes Pol. Yuri Karsono, SIK, said that “this activity is a form of Brimob service to the community by patrolling disaster-prone areas or areas to check and monitor directly at these locations,” he said.
“The SAR patrol aims to provide a sense of security and comfort to the community when carrying out activities and to give an appeal to the public to be careful and increase vigilance because the weather in recent days is uncertain,” he said.
West Java Police Mobile Brigade Commander Kombes Pol. Yuri Karsono, SIK, also stated that “patrols in disaster areas are a routine activity carried out by the SAR Team of the Pioneer B Battalion. We also urge the public to be careful with this unpredictable weather, this is a form of Brimob service for the community, “he added.
