JAKARTA – The National Police Chief, General Police Listyo Sigit Prabowo, along with the ranks of the Indonesian Islamic Da’wah Institute (LDII) stayed in touch. Several things were discussed, including how to maximize Dai’s role in conveying the message of social security and religious moderation.
The National Police Chief said, with the da’wah approach, the delivery of the message of security and social security was considered quite effective compared to the language of the Police.
“How is this kamtibmas empowered. For example, LDII leaders convey messages of social security to their people, ”said the Chief of Police at the LDII head office on Jalan Tentara Pelajar, Senayan, South Jakarta, Tuesday (9/3/2021).
Sigit said that the residue of the presidential and regional elections is still there, causing polarization in the community. For this reason, strengthening religious moderation is currently considered important because in a crisis situation due to the Covid-19 pandemic, unity is very much needed. “The religious moderation approach is to suppress polarization in society,” said Sigit.
On the other hand, the National Police Chief also invited LDII to work together in order to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic by conveying appeals and education to the public regarding enforcing health protocols to provide understanding to people about the national vaccination program.
On the same occasion, Acting Chairperson of LDII Criswanto Santoso supported the National Police’s efforts to suppress the transmission of Covid-19. LDII said he was ready to collaborate with the Police. Apart from facing Covid, it is also in an effort to maintain the integrity of the Republic of Indonesia
“LDII is ready to synergize with the National Police for the integrity of the nation,” concluded Criswanto. Yadi / Public Relations.
