City Police, Jayapura City Police Service Center Picket (SPKT) Jayapura City Police succeeded in thwarting the theft of a Suzuki Satri FU159 motorcycle at the Overtom Bridge, to be precise next to Bank Papua Jayapura, Monday (15/3) in the early hours of the morning.

Led by Bripka Supardi, picket SPKT Team III of the Jayapura City Police thwarted the theft of a motorcycle some time after the perpetrator carried out the action in front of the Aryoko Kloofkamp hospital in the North Jayapura district.

Bripka Supardi said, starting with Bripka Arismuawan, his picket partner after sending a routine report to the picket to the Papuan police ops alert, when he was about to return to Mako, he found two suspicious men around the scene of the crime scene.

“We are suspicious because the two people were pushing a motorcycle that was suspected of being the result of a car, when they were about to be approached for an examination, the two perpetrators immediately fled leaving the stolen Suzuki Satria Fu SPM,” he concluded.

He continued, a chase was carried out but the perpetrators were not overtaken and managed to escape using a motorcycle.

“We immediately returned to the Suzuki Satria FU 150 motorbike with the police number PA 6468 Rl, which was abandoned earlier and took it to the Jayapura City Police Headquarters for an examination regarding its ownership,” he said.

He said that in the morning the owner of the motorbike named Ernawati Yusuf (41) came to the Jayapura City Police to make a report and did not think that the SPM had been found by the police.

“In the morning the victim came to report to the office but found that his motorbike had been secured at the Police Headquarters. Now the motorbike has been handed back to its owner, “said Bripka Sukardi.

Ernawati Yusuf (41) as the owner of the vehicle thanked the police for succeeding in thwarting his stolen motorbike.

“Our motorbike has been returned by the police at no charge or free, thank you very much to the police, especially the Jayapura City Police, for finding their motorbike that was stolen, I hope the police in serving the community will be more successful and always under the protection of God Almighty,” said the owner of the motorbike.
