District, Bandung, –Once viral on social media, a woman stole clothes at the Octas Boutique Jl. Talun, Tanggulan Village, Ibun District, Bandung Regency, West Java.
Kapolresta Bandung Polda Jabar Kombes Pol Hendra Kurniawan said the incident occurred on Thursday (4/3/2021) at around 09.30. Where the TN suspect came to the clothing shop and pretended to want to buy clothes in large quantities.
“The perpetrator is a woman, pretending to want to buy clothes,” he said during a press conference at the Bandung Police Headquarters in West Java, Monday (8/3/2021).
West Java Regional Police Head of Public Relations Kombes Pol. Erdi A. Chaniago SIK, M.Si said that the CCTV footage showed the perpetrator casually tricked the shopkeeper who was busy tidying up the clothes chosen by TN. When the employee is busy, the perpetrator puts several pieces of clothing into the bag he has provided.
“So the perpetrator has prepared a bag to enter the stolen goods,” said the Head of Public Relations.
With a report from the victim, the police immediately processed the scene of the incident (TKP). Armed with cctv recordings, Sat Reskrim Polresta Bandung Regional Police of West Java finally arrested TN in the Banjaran area, Bandung Regency.
“One day after it went viral, we managed to arrest the perpetrator in the Banjaran area,” said the Police Chief.
After being arrested and examined by the Women and Children Protection Unit (PPA), it turned out that TN was once imprisoned in mid-2019 with a case of stealing a headscarf.
When the case was revealed, the police succeeded in confiscating evidence of the victim’s cctv recordings, stolen clothes and bags belonging to the suspect. Where the total loss of victims reached Rp. 2,500,000.
In order to take responsibility for his actions, TN now has to feel the iron bars again and is subject to Article 362 of the Criminal Code with the threat of a sentence of 5 years in prison. Yadi / Public Relations
