FRANKFURT, April 13 (Xinhua) — German stocks edged up on Tuesday, with the benchmark DAX index up 19.36 points, or 0.13 percent, to close at 15,234.36 points.
European multinational online food-delivery service Delivery Hero won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 3.33 percent. Material manufacturer Covestro and automotive supplier Continental rose by 1.95 percent and 1.91 percent respectively.
Automotive manufacturer Volkswagen lost the most among the blue chips, falling 1.32 percent. Aircraft engine manufacturer MTU Aero and telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom went down by 1.28 percent and 1.26 percent respectively.
Multinational software corporation SAP was the most-traded share with a turnover of 216.72 million euros (257.81 million U.S. dollars).
China’s Haier, a leading global household appliances manufacturer listed in Frankfurt in 2018, lost 2.36 percent to close at 1.926 euros per share on Tuesday.
